What is TPO Roofing

Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) is a single-ply roofing membrane and today is one of the fastest-growing commercial roofing systems available. TPO roofing systems are made up of a single layer of synthetics and reinforcing scrim that can be used to cover flat roofs.

A TPO membrane roof can last anywhere from 15 to 20 years. Another great factor in TPO is that it does not shrink. Lastly, TPO membranes have hot air welded seams so its strength is three (3) times stronger than any conventional rubber roofs.

The most common TPO material is bright white with highly reflective properties. This bright white roof installation can reflect UV rays and heat from the building, allowing for a great saving during the summer months from because of decreased energy usage to cool the building interior.
